The reason for my nomination
Sala de Inversión is a new business concept that arises in response to the needs and opportunities of the modern industry of online trading and investment. Sala de Inversión is one of the leading Web 2.0 projects within the financial industry.
www.saladeinversion.es is a financial website which aims to provide investors in Spain and Latin America with quality content from financial analysts and opinion leaders and to offer investors the training resources they need to use the latest trading tools.
The success of Sala de Inversión is that it is based on a network model of value co-creation. This model integrates resources to generate value to the end client, Saxo Bank’s partner banks, and media partners. Sala de Inversión has been built on the latest Search Engine Optimization platform technology, and it is integrated across social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter and key financial media partners. This enables a closer dialogue and interaction between the bank, the analysts from the partners and the end client. It is also a tool to attract new clients by offering valuable resources and trading tools.
Uriel has been the driving force behind the creation of www.saladeinversion.es, even though this project has followed the Wikipedia style where leadership is by merit, distributed and changing. Thus, there have been many contributors to this project including Saxo Bank alliance of partners in Spain, Saxo Bank’s strategy team, the whole Latin Region, with key roles performed by Dinis Guarda (Global Head of Web Content and Search) in the development of the technology and Aida Blanco (Marketing Project Manager) who has been at the centre of the overall cross-functional management.
To enable the launch of Sala de Inversión, Uriel interacted intensively with major media groups, marketing and financial institutions. Uriel is an expert in establishing strong cross-functional and global partnerships, building on these and making sure they deliver the best possible results. His style is to involve the participants as highly active contributors to the topic at hand and provoke reflection and positive debate across the group.
Uriel is Head of Marketing at Saxo Bank and is responsible for planning and executing the corporate marketing strategy in Iberia and Latin America: consumer understanding, analysis, product development, online search engine marketing (SEM), social media marketing (SMM) as well as display advertising, offline campaigns, sponsorship management, events and execution of campaigns.
